Hats off to Doyle Pinnick! Department of Parks and Recreation Nominate Doyle for "The Good Samaritan Award."
January, 2009
PWCI is extremely proud to say that Doyle Pinnick was nominated by the Department of Parks and Recreation for a very high honorable mention. Last summer, Doyle was approached by the Department of Parks and Recreation in hopes for a donation on behalf of the Girls Scouts who were need of rocks for their garden area. Doyle went above and beyond and got in touch with The Pacific Design Center and Action Electric. Together, they were able to create a 20 ft. by 40 ft. fully landscaped garden, complete with not only rocks, but boulders, custom water features, a waterfall and babbling brook, all surrounded by beautiful native plants.
Between PWCI, Pacific Design Center and Action Electric, the total donation ended up to being a $12,000 project. The Department of Parks and Recreation was awarded the annual “Beautification Award” for Crescenta Valley last November. The award is to "Honor those who have improved the quality of life in the Crescenta Valley for the year 2008." This donation also received citations of recognition by the Congress of the United States, the State of California Senate, The California State Assembly, and the County of Los Angeles! The Department of Parks and Recreation have now recently nominated Doyle for their annual "The Good Samaritan Award." Congratulations Doyle Pinnick!
