Project Description

When the City of La Quinta decided to build a brand new municipal library they turned to PWCI to serve as Construction Manager for the project. This 20,000 square foot structure is an architectural masterpiece that is recognized as a beautiful addition to the City's Civic Center complex. PWCI instituted a number of operational and marketing elements that contributed greatly to the successful completion of the project being delivered on time and under budget. These would include:

  • Facilitating an all day "Partnering Session" with the expanded project team
  • Installing a 24/7 live web-cam and dedicated website for the project team and community at large to view and record images of the projects progress in real time (also linked to the City's homepage)
  • Creating a customized Construction Management Project Manual
  • Drafting and distribution of a monthly Executive Report for review by staff and Council
